Our Fees

At WatchAuction.co.uk, we are open and honest about our fees and charges. Our fees guarantee to beat any other auction house!

Bidding Deposit: £500 – Where applicable, this is to be paid before any bids can be made through WatchAuction.co.uk. This is refundable if no purchases are won, if a purchase is won this will be offset against the purchase price.

Buyer’s Premium: This is a charge of 19.16% on top of the hammer price (Plus VAT). For example:

Penalty Fee (Late Payment Fee): £500 fixed fee. This would be applied for any winning bider that fails to pay within 1 week (7 days) of the auction ending.

Handling Fee: This is a fee for handling and arranging a delivery/collection. The handling fee is £35 and is applicable to each item purchased.

Storage Fee: This would only be applicable on the 7th day after the auction if the watch is still being held by our office at a cost of £10 per day. This will be charged in addition to our handling fee.

Valuation fee: This would only be applicable if you chose not to accept our recommendations for an estimate and the watch did not sell. It would be a cost of £100, this covers delivery and admin.

Sellers fee: 10%

We recommend that you view any items you wish to purchase as refunds will not be given to winning bidders. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

Currency Exchange

All of our prices are provided in GBP (£) but we can accept payments in EUR (€) AND USD ($). Our exchange rates are updated daily and are dictated by the European Central Bank, with a small conversion fee added.
